I am Maryam Soroor, from the United Arab Emirates. Born on March 21, 2002. I’m a third-year university student pursuing a major in communication and new media at Thompson Rivers University. I completed my high school education at Rosary school located in the United Arab Emirates. I can speak five languages which are Arabic, English, Turkish, French, and Persian. I believe that I will inspire people and become a successful broadcaster.

I believe “life teaches more valuable lessons that we never took in school” as life is a one-way ticket that can teach a lot of things in this one long way.

I’m interested in graphic designs as it interesting to know how advertisements or brochures were made, and photography. I worked as a media analyst in an electronic company for 2 months and learnt how excel has many functions. Currently working with The Omega magazine as a staff writer at the Thompson Rivers University.
